Oh! And one more little thing – I get that what the author might be trying to get across is that what happened was so big that it BROKE Junli’s trust in Qian and that now that he presumably has it back, it would take something that big or bigger to break it again.

…what’s happening to all the OTHER people who have made Junli mad who he ISNT trying to do the horizontal tango with, and is he going to STOP IT??? I don’t LIKE wolf boy, but from Junli’s perspective, if I understand right, he essentially got whipped for talking out of turn, and it seemed like until foxy stopped it, the intention was to whip him to DEATH.
Cuz if it isn’t addressed, frankly, I’m still gonna have to assume he’s still a monumental asshole who Qian HAPPENS to be in the good graces of.

This comic started off with a kidnapping, then a rape scene and like…then went on to multiple attempted murders before getting to this point…which like, literally nobody deserves. Nobody at all. There’s no excuse for doing that to someone – obviously the comic knows that.
But like…here’s my thing though, right? He loved (still loves I guess???) Qian and treated him right before all this went down. Now he feels bad because he accidentally broke his favourite toy, and here’s what makes me uncomfy:
So half of those attempted murders, yeah? They were because he thought Qian was trying to run off with Ranshen
So like
Qian is obviously supposed to be attractive
…So after all this is cleaned up and Ranshen is either dead or with the fox (tragic, foxy deserves so much better) what happens the NEXT time someone flirts with Qian and Junli thinks he’s flirting back – because clearly, in this world, there’s a lot of interest in him? Qian has a whole ass ex-husband and a CHILD, what happens if he wants to pay them a visit? Junli was VERY quick to decide Qian was lying when he said he wasn’t running off when Ranshen, how much would it take for him to decide they’re having an affair?
Hell, what happens just the NEXT time Qian just…does something that makes Junli mad? Or someone goes telling stories?
Because like…they’re immortal, it WILL happen. I was willing to go along when I thought the removal of the spirit orb had made him evil, but obviously this…is just him.
I’ll definitely continue to see what happens to foxy, and I guess I’ll keep an eye out for Junli unequivocally deciding that he trusts Qian no matter what. Qian is so powerless in this story though that I suspect the rest will simply be saving him rather than presenting any situations where Junli has to actually DEMONSTRATE trusting him, which is what would win me over personally, but I’m willing to be surprised!
