But Cheng Jin was treated coldly by Lu Tao for a whole 7 years, we don’t know about his mental health in those years, but you expect him to just guess that Lu Tao actually like him? I mean, Lu Tao never showed it to him. He helped Cheng Jin silently, he liked Cheng Jin and also know that Cheng Jin has changed, but he STILL acted indifferently to him. How could Cheng Jin guessed it?
They’re just lacking communication. And IT IS LOGICAL!!!

Since the story is from MC’s perspective, I think people tends to sympathise more with MC than ML.
But if you think rationally, ML’s action towards MC was understandable.
Later MC did realised his mistakes and he did changed. His character development was great. ML also started to express his feelings more and communicated with MC.
Yeah main problem was lack of communication.
Also while reading novels or manga/hua/hwa, try to understand the story from every character’s perspective not only MC’s.

because most of the commentators in this manhua hate cheng jin, so i try to read the novel. man, and i hate lu tao. I mean, yes cheng jin used to be a disgusting human being but lu tao also loved cheng jin before they got married and damn, his grandma didn’t die!
After getting married lu tao still loves chengjin, his grandmother is cured, he fulfilled his dream, then what’s the point of being indifferent for 7 years? meh, I thought 3-4 years of indifferent was enough for revenge but 7 years?? and he still dared to ask why chengjin was afraid of him? he is afraid that chengjin wants to divorce him, but still blames chengjin for the past -_-
I must say that novel commentators are better than manhua commentators, they can understand what mental disorders are. i feel sorry when i read chengjin scared lu tao, like afraid that if lu tao will think chengjin seduced him or something like that, it feels like chengjin is getting abandonment issues?

I don’t know which part of the novel did some of these commenters read to acfually think that Cheng Jin was at fault. Yes, he was young and spoiled initially but all through out that marriage, Lu Tao never treated him like an actual human being. 7 years of cold shoulder and hell even though Cheng Jin was trying his best to change and never really caused him any kind of inconvenience. It’s not like Lu Tao couldn’t divorced him right after getting the money? He could. But he’s an asshole too so he’d rather treat Cheng like shit.

Cheng jin does all the mistakes and blames his husband for not loving him and after he lost his memories his husband other side like him and jin also like him but still he differcheate his husband personality and make the original husband sad and angry .I wish that jin gets to now that he is the one doing all the mistakes and stops blaming his husband but I don’t wt will go on because he is pregnant and he still trying to marry other man for the child 😤😤😤
