    @Obscuring Haze Totally agree…he hurt Xinghai…So Xinghai did nothing wrong by rejecting him and giving him cold shoulders…moreover I think he did the right thing u can’t be soft hearted with someone who wronged you…dog Ye thought if he change a bit Xinghai will come back immediately which Xinghai did not and I’m so happy for that…Xinghai is a mature and strong MC whose center of the universe isn’t Ye only and manages his works and life well…

    But I really think ML dog Ye is better than Ye Ting from ”Be watched by my ex again”…I really wanna kill b*sterd Ye Ting sometimes…Dog Ye’s character development was good and he wasn’t forgiven immediately…he really regretted and changed…the love rival was an a*s so I’m glad Xinghai didn’t give him any chance(tho I’d not have minded if Xinghai got together with a good man but well he didn’t, I have no problem with that either)…

    So I think when Xinghai finlly forgives dog ye he actually earned it…after that it was sweetness tho I really didn’t read much of that mtl but I got the gist of it…

    A lot of people are debating if the ML is cheating on the MC or not. So here’s the thing. The ML did not have sex with the third party. BUT. The ML deliberately went to the movies and ate with the third party alone together. Does this not count as going on dates? He deliberately created an ambiguous relationship with the other party meaning he didn’t reject those advances. So while the ML didn’t cheat on the MC sexually, he did cheat on the MC romantically even though he didn’t love that third party. Also, in the very first chapter, the MC knew the ML didn’t sleep with the other guy but when he asked the ML about the future, ML didn’t even try to deny or defend himself, meaning he was aware that he couldn’t promise that he won’t sleep with the guy in the future.
    Also.
    BOTH of them agree to break up yet ML refuse to let MC date with other people. Yeah, MC still love the ML but so what? A relationship need consent. Zhao still loves Ye and Ye still loves Zhao but if MC is unwilling, no matter how much ML apologizes, ML still doesn’t have the right to force MC to be together with him. There’s no misunderstanding. Zhao broke up with Ye because he wasn’t happy anymore and Ye agreed to break up. So Ye being a possessive scumbag after their break up completely justify Zhao’s cold-hearted behaviour towards him.

    ML CHEATED!! he didn’t sleep with zhouming, tho he helped him because he felt that zhouming was fresh and a little interesting. in the novel, the ml repeatedly admitted that he had an affair with others!! not only just zhouming! also if you’ve read yang jianli/ye ting’s novel, there are so many scenes there that the ml (xiao ye) was cheating! when the mc and their daughter needed xiao ye, the ml ignored them and was focused on socializing outside and not returning home. the ml also said that he threw money around for the little stars he was having an affair with. ugh he was such a scum! he said to ye ting that he wanted someone fresh and interesting that’s why he was going on around places having an affair with people.

    BUT, although he was such a scum, you’d see his character development in the story! he really went from a cheating bastard to a devoted boyfriend (then husband)!! it was such a chaotic journey for them. LMAO xiao ye and ye ting could belong to the same category of the 188 scum gongs. the ml was such a pressing character! he was such an asshole at first. he apologized to the mc and expected that the mc would forgive and welcome him with open arms. if i was the mc i’d drop his lame ass, but well they were together for 7 long ass years so…

    The ML did not cheat on the MC and the MC knows this when the ML told him but the reason why the MC is assertive in their break up is because he knows there are no strong feelings between them anymore and that he was the only one holding the relationship together when ML lost interest because their life became a routine instead. Believe me the 7 year itch is very much real and many relationships become rocky and unstable due to this if there is no reassurance showed from both parties.
    .
    So 1)ML did NOT cheat
    2)MC has grounds to insist on them staying away from each other
    3)They lack some communication as usual in all Manhua’s for the drama 💁

    I have to ask the readers if their blind cuz there are some wild assumptions going on in the comments, just like Zhao.

    Yes, the romance has cooled, that is a fact, but Xiao has not cheated on Zhao. It’s incredibly obvious in the first chapter based on the following facts:

    1. Xiao is looking at Zhouming, and sees Zhao in his face.
    2. Zhouming is inwardly pissed off that Xiao has ONLY taken him out to eat food, and not to eat him.

    In one of the later chapters, Xiao even says he only helped Zhouming because he looked like r Zhao.

    Conclusion: Xiao did not cheat and had remained loyal to Zhao. Zhao just lost it preemptively. I think Xiao just backed off since the romance coming off is their reality, but he did deny cheating.
