The emperor is a snake and selfish always have been. He never cared about his Chen is suffering as long he is satisfied it’s enough. The novel is very detailed. I just wish the author would just made the emperor realized his mistake and apologize to Chen but ofc everything is toxic.
I just cant shake the feeling that he is plotting something, I just hope Chen Zeiming can be happy, and Im glad theres finally someone that can be inconditionally with him c’:
