In the novel (chapter 88-89), there’re long detail descriptions of physical and mental state of the rape… it’s very awful but also brilliantly written. It’s depicted as horrific and chaotic, but Jian Suiying was still being his funny snarky self quite a bit (like wondering if his childhood bullying have made Suilin ‘gone stupid’, wishing a lightning to strike them both dead as it’s too pervert and he cannot accept what’s happening), but also heartbreaking (Jian Suiying realized no one will come to stop it, and that he’s not drunk enough to pass out and would remember the whole ordeal) There’re also explore into Suilin’s mental state and memories, as they talked a lot more. Suilin is basically nuts from his obsession… this is his one final bet as even ‘winning’ against his brother can make Suiying ‘bend the knee’ to him, and he will never get anything if he continued to just be a good behaving little brother. He wanted to carve himself deeply into Suiying’s soul, he wanted to consume Suiying so Suiying can think only about him like he could only see and think only of Suiying… so he choose this path.
I didn’t feel like this made Sui Lin any cuter than she actually was, it was really awful in the novel, the artist skipped a lot of scenes. For example, when Li Yu called Sui Ying’s phone, Of course I’m not talking about the horrific scene but she can skip this scene without the rest of the scenes, the moment Li Yu arrives and sees Sui Ying should not have been skipped
For anyone confused the brother has a thing for the mc ,he purpose fully tied him down and rped him for ig more than a day i don’t remember properly,since ml called the mc the brother took the phone and taunted him abt having the mc ,ml tracked the location and beat him up once he reached there
