Aww, bless – I GOTTA admit, I’m not a big fan of like…the woobified assault beginning (I know there’s no words minced about that being what it was, what I mean is that like…decent people do not get drunk and do that in actual factual life) – which, no shade to all the readers who can either look past or like this chiller version of the redeemed trope, I actually totally get the appeal for a lot of folks – and there were a LOT of bits that set my teeth on edge (mainly the making jokes of one partner being super physically insistent and the other resisting) BUT

That last scene is SO FRIGGIN CUTE DUDE, A+, absolutely no notes whatsoever
Also! This is SO RANDOM, but there’s a bit towards the end where they’re trying to figure out logistics because whatshisbucket has no concubines to run the house while he’s at war or something, and I was thinking how fun it would be for an author to do a story where the main couple has like a beard whose like some gorgeous foreign princess or something who has a side plot of super competently dealing with palace intrigue while the boys are off having sexy sexy adventures
