동절기; The Winter Season
Summary
Yihyeon’s daily life remained unchanged that day.
Until Goo Seung-hyuk, with whom he had broken up nine years ago, showed up.
“We used to run a hole-in-the-wall business here?
I didn’t know you’d be selling a guy’s asshole for money.”
Seung-hyuk, the owner of Nexus, the club where Yihyeon worked,
spits out harsh words upon meeting him,
staring at him with eyes filled with disgust, as if he’d just seen something dirty…
“But why do you look at people like that? You’re hurting me. I told you
I’d give a friend I haven’t seen in a while a chance.” Misfortune swirls through Yihyeon daily life ever since he met Seung-hyuk,
enough to remind him that misfortune always strikes at once , and their seemingly unbreakable bond becomes a tenacious thread. “If you need money, tell me straight up. I’ve become so desperate that I need the money I earned by beating people up.” Did you, back then, look at me with such disgust? What kind of face, what kind of gaze did you have? The tenacious grip of that old connection ensnared Yihyeon. “…Long time no see, Gu Seung-hyuk.”
