– Muted (read this at home or at a place where u can comfortably cry at. Flood gates 24/7)
– Deceived (very short read but worth it, only 6 chapters)

SQ is so horribly terrible. If I’m gonna compare him to Ning Xiuyuan from Attack and Occupy, SQ is 9999999x much more horrible!! He literally forced ML to have a child with a woman just to make him stay.
In my opinion,
SQ>all terrible semes (Yansheng, the seme from 10 years where I loved you the most, Ning Xiuyuan, etc.)
I just remembered why SQ and ML broke up in the first place, SQ was gonna get married to a girl and ML found out. He confronted SQ, SQ says that ML shouldn’t worry and basically says he can be still be the mistress. Like a kept boy. ML doesn’t want to be a mistress/pet. SQ promise to pamper him even after he get married. ML says he wants love not money or to be a pet. SQ gets angry and throws things at ML. ML realised SQ doesn’t have any love for him, so ML leaves. SQ continues to be a bitch about it – “I can replace you” I believe that was he said ???? Not sure
Also, I think ML has a hearing problem as well caused by SQ and his friends bullying him back in highschool. So during the relationship when SQ calls ML and ML didn’t hear his calling (cos he’s not facing SQ + bad hearing), SQ gets angry and lash out on him.
In generalll… sadness for ML. He honestly deserves better

FYI to why kid likes ML: Kid has no money cos he run away, so he pawns his stuff like phone, expensive watch, laptop and stuff to give the money to ML as payment cos ML cooks him meals and helps him out in situations. Kid is actual really nice.
At one point, I think ML gets sick and faints??? So SQ takes him to hospital and tell the kid to return back home to after the puppy. However kid’s family found him and forcefully takes him back home. Bodyguards drag him home. when SQ and ML returns back “home” from hospital, they see the kid is gone and thinks he just returned to where he rightfully belongs.
The kids turns out to be some rich powerful kid. I think mafia heir or something.
SQ starts treating ML better (I still hate him tho)
There’s more parts to the novels but I can’t remember and I didn’t finish reading cos my heart was hurting 🙁 I think ML will end up with SQ which is bs but that’s the typical storyline but who knows …
Also, when the ML was on the run, he gets treated so poorly by his superior and gets low wages. It was so sad reading everything tbh.
Reason why puppy is weak and sick is ML has to take it on the run and moving multiple time to avoid SQ took a toll on its health. Took puppy with him cos he knows SQ might take his anger on the puppy. So that’s why after SQ found ML at the shîtty house (where the kid also lives), he just accepts his fate cos he doesn’t want to move again cos it will harm puppy health. He decide just to ignore SQ and continue his daily routine.
Also, this was before the ML decided run away, obviously he had to tell the bf in America he couldn’t be with him by his side. So hd said he was going back to countryside to work for relatives or something?? He Also played the villain role and make up excuse that he can’t move his entire life to America cos he can’t learn a new language, that he’s old and not young anymore and cut ties. So bf thought that was the case in until a couple days later SQ calls bf and demands where ML is cos ML did pretend to promise to return back to SQ side of he doesn’t harm bf’s company anymore. But in reality he runaway from both of them. They join hands to find ML.
