You can tell they are tho because this author is obsessed with opposites (not that I’m complaining it’s literally why I’m so into this I think) – light and dark, sun and moon/sky and sea/gold and silver (I think everyone working on this has about as much favouritism towards Xiao and Jiu Chen as I do and that’s why they get multiple LMAO…I also think they watched Ever After and became obsessed with the line “a fish may love a bird but where would they live?”), and now life and death – and unfortunately, it’s also the biggest indication that the fox *might* not be coming back :/ he and big red don’t really get that
