!spoilers! so basically the snake inside Joel’s body was mara’s which idk his grandpa or uncle had given to him for his birthday gift they were kids and like mara was trying to slide from the slide at a nearby park he saw but he slipped and Joel was In front of that slide so when mara slipped he ended up touching Joel’s chest and that’s how the snake went in.
