The frick are these names why couldn’t they just stick to the original names. If people struggle with pronunciation, so what? We are reading in our head.
But giving English names to every single Chinese/Korean/ETC character, just takes me out of the experience. If they were an Asian character in a western country, it is more forgiveble, and understandable. But I find it unfortunate when some people either fold to pressure to please the few people that kick up a fuss about not being able to read an asain name, or just take artistic liberty and go against the original text.
