I honestly think this and similar stuff would be SO much more interesting to me personally if it wasn’t a romance purely in that you KNOW they’re going to end up fluffily married with 2.5 kids, right?
Like, I would just love it if it really unapologetically leaned into “yeah they’re both fucked up – they might wind up dead, they might just wind up in a batshit dynamic, come along for the sexy unhinged ride” – that said, maybe those stories do exist and are just categorized differently and I haven’t found em yet 😂
(And to be clear, I’m not whining that that should be ALL stories with dark themes – I absolutely want some for the girlies who like a shmoopy ending to stories that start toxic!)
