BTW, if you want to know or not but characters in here is not that protective and perfectly organised rather the ML do wrong is lot less that MC’s emotional dilema.
And that’s why nothing can save this manhua to become a jerky and toxic zone in entire manhuaverse.😤

I rarely ever drop a manga/manhua but this is sooooo close. I’m not necessarily tired of the abuse per se, but the stories I have read like this have very little progression, plot, and lack of character appeal to keep everyone general interest. I’ll give it maybe 2 more chances.

So having established that, the plot we’re going with here isn’t that there’s some sort of scheme within the court that our protagonist has difficulty or fails to alert anyone to because he’s distrusted, and when things begin to go south, the two of them form an uneasy alliance, foil the evildoers, and fall in love, trading many barbs along the way?
No, we get…assault and dog collars??? Like damn, we’re doing fetish gear and we’re not even having a good time about it???
Not only that, we’re 40 chapters in and here’s what I know about the characters: our lead is frail dying mistreated to the extreme and sad. Our alleged romantic lead is angry. His fiancée is rude and the doctor…can make noodles and knows how to have a civil conversation??? Like…does anyone here have any talents? Hobbies? Personality quirks??? Philosophical outlooks on life??? THOUGHTS ON ANYTHING ASIDE FROM BOO HOO AND ANGEE??? No??? We have to get back to smacking our lead around and don’t have time for that??? Ah. Gotcha, of course, my bad.
