It’s basically Romeo and Juliet, but they chose to live instead. Hill wanting to leave makes more sense than staying. Asking for an exile together with his brother is already asking for a lot, considering their current position, and what their country has done. I can already imagine the future chapters being about Hill plotting to escape with his brother.
I agree with @Lovely_star and I kinda wish that Hill could ask to be put through punishment instead of his brother since (idk it feels better) and I WANNA SEE THE BABY AND HILL MEET 😭

Like a slave put him in chains always and giving him drugs to make him weak. If it were not for Hill needing his pheromones, who knows what might had happened.
So his brother is also getting treatment like that he should not feel sorry. U can call this karma.
Even if Hill did not treated Xingmu like that he was still held as captive.
