Not only is Hill facing post partum depression, he is also facing extreme loneliness. He repeatedly says that he doesn’t trust anyone else. He does love Xingmu but he is also aware about what his own Kingdom- Iselanya dud to the Tadels snd Xingmu. Tbh, normally the previous royal family are not exiled, or even imprisioned, they are executed on the spot, to ensure nobody could ever rise up to content for the throne. Xingmu’s whole family was executed, Xingmu escaped pretending to be a lowborn omega, while his second brother is alove only because he was saved from the point of death by the Calouste.
The old Tadel people hate the Iselanya; they serve and tolerate Hill because their King Xingmu loves this Omega. Hill’s status is the prince from the fallen Kindom that everyone hates. Infact the mere fact that the young prince is born off of an Iselanya could lead to public inacceptance. Hill wants to leave and be free in a place where nobody knows him or start anew, and that is completely acceptable, who would want to be in a place where everybody either treats your existence with contempt or pity you, or think of you as a burden.
How could he ever be happy knowing that his people, the only family he has now are not doing okay.
He is torn between his love for his family or for Xingmu.
I do not understand why some readers lack empathy with mental problems or disorders, in most of the stories I read, a character who suffered from a difficult pregnancy and birth, they think that the next second he will be the happiest of all, all pregnancies are different, it is not because of his whim that he acts like this with his baby, in the end that baby was born by contract, not legal but by a promise, Star is aware of that, right now what Hill is suffering from is postpartum depression, and he was even in a coma. For some reason in our society as in novels pregnant people are respected or cared since leading a life inside your guts is not easy and even less during the war, with time he will learn to see his child or as he wishes because from the beginning he clarifies that his freedom was what he wanted. And another point is that hill is not getting politically involved, he is proposing a law that has been written for years, exile, it is not a nice punishment at all, especially when you have enemies everywhere, for some reason in the novels when they mention exile, some people cry, I understand the point they mention that it is not enough if that is going to punish Ivan, since he contributed to the murder of an entire kingdom, however, what do you expect? Ivan’s death? unfortunately if that happens Hill will be left in great pain as well as the doctor, they still have not shown us how people will react when they find out that the son of the new king has royal blood from Hill, later on they will probably show us how the unified people will act in the face of all this conflict.
Lovely_star : That What I am Saying. He got severe PTSD and Postpartum Depression. Hill’s knows he might effect the child, but more importantly he is deeply concerned for his beloved brother and himself. If I were in the same situation as Hill I would do the same thing, but if I was Isekai earlier before or after the plot was start led I would definitely stay away from him saves his and his empire.
First Hill wanted the baby and now when the baby is born , he wants to run away with his brother.
I understand that he doesn’t want that life but running away doesn’t solve anything.
First his family destroyed Xingmu’s kingdom and it’s inevitable for Xingmu not to hate him but still he fell for him. He protected him and his child and took care of them so much.
It’s understandable that Xingmu fought Against Hill’s family. I also didn’t like the Hill’s father and his brother way of handling things.
That Duke said the right thing. Only when you are away you will understand what your heart wants the most.
Even after seeing the child he still decides to leave, then let him go.
And i think that in the upcoming plot he will leave. If he doesn’t leave then how will story progress.
He may like Xingmu and the baby but right now he is thinking that he will only get trapped in this and his brother will be imprisoned. Unless he let go of those things that is making him leave he will never be able to live in the palace wholeheartedly. So I feel he should leave the palace and sort out his feelings and return.
