I already hate Chi Yi and He Yang. Chi Yi reminded MC that he’s just a stand-in, like MC was trying to buy a gift, ISTG. MC literally knows that he’s a stand-in and still loves He Yang! He Yuan isn’t even being subtle about it too. The ML blindfolded MC while doing it, and when we get to see Xu ChengYan’s thoughts, he mentioned that ML has done this multiple times! And he still loves ML even though he knows he’s going to be abandoned, that he’s a stand-in. Maybe I’m overreacting, but come on, it’s the FIRST chapter.
