See, the issue here is that the dad is calling his son out for kidnapping a person and so far appears to be trying to return said person to a the man he’s repeatedly said he wants to leave with.
Aside from the homophobia, I’m like…on dad’s side, man, I can’t even be entirely mad at him for calling Chengxiu ugly essentially except that he does it in a homo and trans phobic way, because it’s kind of a relief from the constant obsession over characters like Chengxiu that happens in these comics and seems to result in nothing but ruination hateration and holleration.
