and now they’re trying to squeeze in this trope of a savior who is coming for rescue him out of his abusive relationship and give him a healthy one. bruuuuuhhh 😒 is that really what ChengXiu needs right now? another relationship? seriously? it’s as if ChengXiu can not be happy and fulfilled without a relationship/lover. ChengXiu is allowed to achieve his own happiness and independence without another man coming to transfer him to another relationship, pls. I was almost happy to I saw that he was focusing on his study and his work for once, pls just let him find his own peace. he’s been through so much already and he has a lot to learn and figure out about himself before even inviting someone else into his life.
Literally a person who is unable to tell the difference between love and hate, obsession and jealousy, and can not even tell when he’s being mistreated. this person needs a thorough working on himself
at this point I think the author is purely a gaslighter; trying to shove misery down the readers throats. much of the character personalities does not really make sense anymore and lots of things don’t add up. author needs to give a proper explanation of the character personality explaining why they are the way they are, and I’m attacking about Li ChengXiu here. correct me if I’m wrong but ChengXiu does not have a family/parent or guardian figure that is forcing him to be in this relationship with Shao.
what’s worse is we dot get to understand why is ChengXiu a person that does not realize he deserves respect and love. what I’m trying to say is this- as living thing, survival instinct is a natural thing that occurs in all living thing, ChengXiu lacks that obviously. next as a person, except if you have been manipulated from your baby/toddler days that you do not deserve love, respect and affection, it is natural that you would want these things. ChengXiu however stated that he has never thought of having those things as if he has been cultured that way. And let’s not even try to blame Shao for ChengXiu slow IQ and timid personality. a friend you met in highschool for a short while who you had a short relationship with can not be the only factor here. is crying the only thing he knows how to naturally do? at this point it just seems the author is throwing a pity party for ChengXiu while rallying a hate train for Shao.
