Honestly speaking if this story follows the realistic approach I don’t think Yuer would let his son behave n treat liqing tht way considering what he’s been thru with his own love life with the king. I feel like the author just wants to write angst without any reason lol bcs Yuer appeared once in the novel and he was so aloof and OOC there too. He didn’t correct his son at all!! Having Yuer in one scene is bad enough but Hongxiu also never make an appearance. But Ik this is not their book and again the author is not taking the realistic approach of what have most likely to happen lol so ig let’s just say thank you tht there’s even a continuation Sorry just wanted to rant 😔
Oh but to add a compliment!!! I love. They’re outfits in this scene. So goddamn much. All three. The colours of LiQing’s fit in particular are making me go feral bananas mode, I love it so much

He doesn’t give a wet fart about either of you…like, run, dude. He’s clearly prepared to just deck both of you more or less at random, because he had just as much reason to be in your corner before and chose not to be.
(I’m not saying Hu is in the right here, but I also still frankly don’t care if he lights the castle on fire and goes home LMAO)
