I think LiQing’s maid might be my favourite character in this, no joke, she’s so sweet and cute. (Also yes, LiQing, don’t do her job for her – I’m empathetic, especially as you’re bored and lonely, but unfortunately, it just stresses people out and nobody likes it – and in this case in particular if Qiyu saw him doing her job he’d probably beat the shit out of him and then set her on fire 🙄)
Also, aaaaah so he didn’t know he was married. That explains…yeah, maybe that also might have to do with the fact that you’ve met each other *twice*. (Honestly I’m sure whatever we get with them will be very sweet but I really think I would have preferred them being research buddies to start and things sort of…progressing from there – but that’s me, I don’t really go for love at first sight in general unless it’s funny I think 😂)
I also love the fact that the emperor is just…sitting there while it appears to be completely obvious that the child of HIS SO CALLED BEST FRIEND OR WHATEVER is very obviously being treated like dirt.
