@Missive Liqing is slowly losing interest in the prince. He cares cuz the prince was the only one who chose him in the past and they were friends. He holds those memories dearly and hopes that the prince will give him the same care he did when they were young. It’s hard to let go of sweet memories even when that person no longer gives the same affection they did back then and when they turn cold and culer. He’s slowly realizing that the prince Qiyu won’t give him the same love he did once upon time which is why he turns a bit colder in this episode. Liqing isn’t asking Qiyu to go with him because he wants to spend time with him, he’s asking because he wants his family to think they are happy and that Liqing is doing fine to lessen their worries. In this episode Liqing is becoming colder to Qiyu cuz he’s obviously done with Qiyu’s bullshit.
Why…does LiQing still care? He’s clearly TERRIFIED, and he doesn’t seem to even SLIGHTLY enjoy having sex with him
Like. He’s smart. I get that with the whole dying of coughing up blood disease he wouldn’t actually have much to fear from this specifically, but apart from *everything else*, isn’t it clear by now that Qiyu’s plan is to murder him as soon as his father dies??? He’s said it multiple times at this point
