Finishing the novel, in my opinion the romance didn’t begin until after that creepy teacher d1ed in an accident since the beginning is mostly about the mc being physically sick and constantly tramautized by the stalking. Afterwards the ML begins to develop sympathy for the mc after finding out everything, but he is still distant. They go camping all together but the ML’s friends are bullies and make the mc get lost int he forest and get hurt which ultimatley bring the MC and ML together more (they share a tent as a result, one of my fav scenes) . The mc is a little weak but due to his trauma and intense nurture from his obsessive mom so its understanding why he’s very timid, weak and being constantly saved by the ML. The mc chases the ml more and more using excuses to go to his room at night and then they start you know……..eventually theres this weird illegal drugs arc that ultimatley force the dad to end up finding out his sons are not only gay but seeing each other romantically which then the brothers fly to a country to escape and have a mini vacation fleeing the worries, guilt and dark reality of their taboo relationship. The dad then gets in a freak accident and passes away during this so they fly back. Things are tense at home and the ml feels sad his father who he was not that close to passed away but the mc comes to his room to be there for him. Then the mom barges in on them kissing and chaos everywhere, shes screaming and blaming the ml immediately. After that mess they have the funeral, this is when the ML says goodbye and leaves to america (his rich grandparents live there) to go to school. The mc cries and is left behind with his over protective mother. Then theres a huuuge time skip. Mc is already a successful top surgeon at a young age. He is known for being hardworking, handsome, and just popular with friends. then they get an emergency that someone was shot trying to stop a burglar? and the mc is about to perform surgery when he finds out its his brother, aka the main lead. the re encounter is a little awkward (nvm its big awk) and mc is reluctant to get close to him, in the past his young self would chase after the ml constantly, but this time its the ml who chases the mc. The mc notices his brother has gotten bigger, more muscles, he’s really a “man”. Then at mc’s hospital is his mom living there bc she has cancer. after all these years she accepts his son is gay and even tries to set him up with some sons from her friends (aww, she was annoying but after timeskip i feel sorry for her) and eventually she realizes there is no one for his son except the main lead. so before she dies she talks to both of them saying she wants the main lead to take care of her son (hinting she gives them her blessing) after this, its some minor conflicts (oh i forgot to mention the Main lead is some type of CIA retired agent who went to army) and yeah they end up making up and catching up after all these years with not only with their words but bodies as well (lol) but yeah they find a condo and live together the end. I cut alot of details but this was the main points, I didnt really talk about the cigar/drugs arc since I did not really like that part of the story sorry 😀
