I think Current Qin Xian’s (C!QX) “demon” comes from the block that he forced on himself as to avoid being caught by the Main System. He got some memories back but they’re incomplete due to First World’s Qin Xian (FW!QX) prolongued obsession and suffering.
I’m only theorizing here, but it could be that First World was the closest to the Real World, and it’s also the one time where Wang Yi deceived FW!QX about him leaving that world as he didn’t know there was the possibility of seeing him in another world (he didn’t know); once he rids of FW!QX’s self-destructive obsession over Wang Yi’s disappearance, C!QX can recover the rest of Real Qin Xian’s memories and they can continue with their plan (that Wang Yi is still not fully aware of)
