There are so many popular manhua where ml is literally the person that ruined mc’s life, abused mc and in some cases even raped mc. In those case people just adore those manhuas.
There are people in real life that love the feeling of pain. Its not that they are sick in head, its just how they feel. They are a little different from us. If they are not harming us then why should we feel wrong about their likes. Its actually similar to saying that gay man are sick in head just because they like boy cause few years ago that wasn’t normal. But we all know that not the case, they are just little different. We can have mls that literally are so obsessed and possessive that they will destroys mc’s life without baiting an eye but we think that mc in this manhua is insane.
So mc here is not some sick dude. Its just his preference are different from normal people.
Lets talk about the ml. He loved his younger brother and it seems like his younger brother was his only family. In this story ml believes that his brother was killed and tortured by mc and the judicial system is not doing anything about it. Here he took law in his hand to revenge his brother. In many hit movies heroes take law in their hand to revenge innocent peoples and their loved ones. The problem here is that ml is directing his wrath in wrong direction.
To be frank, I rather read this than reading a manhua where mc is a weak soul slowly losing his sanity because of ml abuse. Constantly begging and pleading ml and the readers keep reading because they love pitiful characters. And at end the ml will get a redemption arc and call it a day. This is such an overused plot and if we think about it deeply, Its even sicker than this manhua. Its no fun getting together with an abuser.
Every bad boy don’t need a good girl. We can have two insane people together and they will genuinely have such a great chemistry. Like whats the problem here, can’t we readers just digest the fact that the mc can be someone that is not afraid of ml.
