I know Fang Wei is meant to be the annoying villain of this piece, and I know Hongsue playing the villain and him playing the hero is probs meant to be like…a juxtaposition of who they really are and also show that Hongsue does it for the love of the craft whereas Fang Wei does it for personal adoration, but given how shippable that scenario is, it would be fun if there was a flirtation between Hongsue and Fang Wei to add a little spice to the drama!
This thing with the teacher is one of the cultural differences that I’m def working on not being a little taken aback by LOL (that’s not a read on anyone or anything!) – I remember some of the scenes in SVSS when Binghe is still a lil (14, was it?) left me quite shocked upon reading them because where I live it would be ABSOLUTELY unacceptable for a teacher to receive a massage from or give a massage to a student, and if they’re underage, forget it, game over for life, dude – even now, when I first read this I was like “is there a translation error?” *CLUTCHES PEARLS* 😛
It’s cool and interesting reading and encountering stuff like that!
