ok, personal opinion. After several long years of abuse this couple should totally break-up, like seriously have no contact with each other. Sheng deserves to suffer extreme pain which only death can alievate, as watches his ex-husband become succesful, date other people or fall in-love with someone else. The mental and emotional trauma takes years to heal. Time skips are helpful with flashbacks.
