ML must suffer equally as much at MC’s hands as he (seemed) to have made MC suffer through his betrayal. Everything mc has done so far in this life, feels perfectly alright potrayal to me. I dont think he comes off as bad at all. Or ml comes off as white washed and clean. Especially since ML is also reborn and knows what he’s done, makes perfect sense to take revenge on him. ML even seems to feel like he deserves it.
Now I do think there were some misunderstandings or elements out of ml’s control obviously, otherwise if he really betrayed MC without any misunderstanding about his character (such as that ml was convinced mc did something bad) or mind control or anything like that, then idk how else he can be redeemed.

It feels like, the author is making the ml wrong being white wash and clean. While the mc is the bad one. Though idk, what happen in the previous life.
In my eyes as a human, the ml still, wrong, even if he love his master in the previous life, there’s no words of regret i can trust. So F him!
