I’m still salty abt the pacing of the manhua (this is chapter 39-40 in the novel). but then again, half of the novel is smut scenes !
The reveal of the 2nd personality in the novel was so much more impactful and shocking. The suspense was eating me alive, especially when the doctor explained that the 2nd personality will totally disappear after 4 months. i was in literal tears. Lu Tao fell into turmoil and the only thing he could think abt was how he doesn’t want to leave his baby to the original indifferent Lu Tao.
He was desperate, he deeply loves Cheng Jin, probably more than anybody could love another person, and hearing that he’s going to disappear felt like he’s been sentenced to death.
When Cheng Jin went looking for Lu Tao, Lu Tao hugged him then grabbed his wrist and led him into the room. Cheng Jin’s face flushed crimson red. He remembered that he used to come to this room very often when Lu Tao was at the army, and that he didn’t let the robot clean it up and even kept the windows closed to keep the scent of his husband there 🥺.
Cheng Jin slept in Lu Tao’s bed every night until the scent completely faded away.
Lu Tao had too little time to return home, and so Cheng Jin had too little time to breathe his husband’s scent…
